Draft Charter - Revision 1 is as follows:

(DRAFT CHARTER - REVISION 1, 10/30/03)

PALMER LAKE COMMITTEE FOR CITIZEN AWARENESS

MISSION: To act as a conduit and a source of information between the government of Palmer Lake and its citizens.

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

  1. Promote citizen participation in the governance of Palmer Lake by encouraging communication between the Town and the citizens.
  2. Become knowledgeable about the issues facing the community of Palmer Lake.
  3. Develop a working knowledge of the Town's Operating Budget, the Comprehensive Plan and the various departments within the Town in terms of capabilities and limitations.
  4. Assist in providing continuity between outgoing Town officials and newly elected Trustees.
