NOVEMBER 3, 2005 The Palmer Lake Liquor Licensing Authority meeting was called to order by Mayor McDonald at 7:03 p.m., November 3, 2005. Attendees:
Item #2: Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts - Special Event Liquor Licenses - December 10, 2005 - Dennis Phillps Applicant was not present. A letter will be sent requiring a representative be present for any Special Event licenses applied for in 2006. TRUSTEE COLEMAN MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE SPECIAL EVENT LIQUOR LICENSE FOR DECEMBER 10TH FOR TRI-LAKE CENTER FOR THE ARTS AND WITH THE REQUEST TO BE MORE RESPONSIVE TO MEETINGS, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE PARKER. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. Item #3: Pinecrest Event Center and Lodge - Bill McDonald
Mayor McDonald, as co-owner, recused herself. Mayor Pro-tem Cornell presided over this portion of the meeting. The liquor license application has been started, but the applicant is not sure if they will actually follow through. The requested license will be for the Event Center with optional premises of the Lodge. The purpose of the license is to generate revenue for the town and for the owners' of the business, along with the police, to have more control over the alcohol use during a function. Due to the location being in a primarily residential area, the applicant will be required to survey a radius of 1500 feet. Mayor McDonald resumed her seat. Proposed hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday, 5 pm to 10 pm; Saturday, 5 pm to 12 pm and Sunday, 10 am to 2 pm and 5 pm to 12 pm. It is not the intention to create a sports bar atmosphere, but a high class resort. Trustee Coleman made a motion to set the survey along Highway 105 from the The Bowling Alley to the turn of Highway 105 at 80 Highway 105, all of Vale Street and Forest View Estates. After discussion, Trustee Coleman withdrew his motion and recommended all of Highway 105 except multi-family. TRUSTEE FINAN MADE A MOTION TO SET THE SURVEY ALONG HIGHWAY 105 FROM THE BOWLING ALLEY TO THE TURN OF HIGHWAY 105 AT 80 HIGHWAY 105, EXCLUDING TOWNHOMES AND TRAILER PARKS, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE PARKER. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. TRUSTEE PARKER MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 8:05 P.M., SECONDED BY TRUSTEE CORNELL. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY.
