DECEMBER 8, 2005 The Palmer Lake Liquor Licensing Authority meeting was called to order by Mayor McDonald at 7:05 p.m., December 8, 2005. Attendees:
Item #2a: Approval of Minutes - August 11, 2005 TRUSTEE FINAN MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF AUGUST 11, 2005, AS WRITTEN, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE COLEMAN. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. Item #2: Approval of Minutes - November 3, 2005 TRUSTEE FINAN MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE MINUTES OF NOVEMBER 3, 2005, AS WRITTEN, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE COLEMAN. MOTION CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY. Item #4: Request for a Hotel/Restaurant Liquor License
The mapping showing the perimeter of the liquor license is not adequately defined for the areas outside of the building (pg 1). This portion of the application was withdrawn by Mr. Godfrey. A modification of premises will be applied for when the area is properly defined and the manner in which the area will be controlled has been decided. The application for the four (4) outlying buildings was withdrawn. A modification of premises will be applied for when the actual buildings are either under construction or have been built. No survey will be required for either modification of premises. Survey Results: Mr. Godfrey explained that originally Mr. Fritts had not planned on applying for a liquor license but he [Mr. Godfrey] had told Mr. Fritts that without a liquor license they would be shutting out approximately 75-80% of potential customers. The establishment needed a full liquor license in order to be a viable betterment of Palmer Lake and the Tri-Lakes area. TRUSTEE FINAN MADE A MOTION TO APPROVE THE LIQUOR LICENSE FOR THE INSIDE OF THE EXISTING BUILDING AND THE UPPER LEVEL DECK, SECONDED BY TRUSTEE FLAKE. POLL VOTE: AYES: FINAN, GIRLANDO, FLAKE, MCDONALD. NAYS: CORNELL, COLEMAN. MOTION CARRIED 4 AYES, 2 NAYS. TRUSTEE FLAKE MADE A MOTION TO ADJOURN AT 7:49 P.M., SECONDED BY TRUSTEE FINAN.
