RESOLUTION 2 – 2008
CANCELLATION OF TOWN OF PALMER LAKE
2008 MUNICIPAL ELECTION

            WHEREAS, the Town of Palmer Lake passed Ordinance 2 of 1992 allowing the Town of Palmer Lake to cancel Municipal Elections; and

            WHEREAS, the number of candidates is the same as the number of vacant positions and the Palmer Lake Town Clerk will certify that there have been no affidavits of intent representing write-in candidates prior to twenty (20) days before the election date; and

            WHEREAS, all of the candidates for the positions of Trustee have agreed to accept either a two year position or a four year position; and

            WHEREAS, the following Town Board members voted  6  for and   0   voted against to cancel the election, at the regular town meeting of the Town Board conducted on March 13, 2008, at 7:00 p.m.

            NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the April 1, 2008 Municipal Election is cancelled.

            PASSED AND RESOLVED on this First and Final Reading by the Board of Trustees of the Town of Palmer Lake on this 13th day of March, 2008.
